Organic dehydrated pineapple

When Europeans first tasted pineapple in the Caribbean at the end of the 15th century, they were so taken with it that for centuries it was a symbol of luxury and hospitality. Ours comes from Costa Rica, the world's largest pineapple exporter, and is organically grown. Each plant takes more than a year to produce its one main pineapple, which is harvested ripe because, once cut, it doesn't ripen any further. It's then peeled, sliced into rings and dried with warm air until most of its water is gone.
