Date syrup

Dates. Just dates. As a syrup.

A dark, thick syrup with caramel notes, made from a single ingredient: dates. Unrefined, no additives, no nonsense. It glides over your yoghurt like it's been waiting its whole life for that moment.

We won't pretend otherwise: it's a sweetener, and it's sweet because dates are sweet. The difference is where that sweetness comes from: the fruit, not a refinery. If you want to swap white sugar or refined syrups at breakfast for something with a name and a story, start here. And use it wisely: a drizzle is plenty.

🌴 One ingredient: dates, full stop
🍯 Caramel flavour: deep, toasty and never cloying
🚫 No additives: no preservatives, no flavourings, no colourings
🌾 High fibre (6 g/100 g): there's more to it than sweetness

How to enjoy it at breakfast:
🥣 A drizzle over Greek yoghurt or skyr with walnuts
🥞 On your pancakes or toast with peanut butter
🥤 A teaspoon in your banana and cacao smoothie
🌙 In your overnight oats, instead of sugar or honey

Date syrup

Date syrup is one of the oldest sweeteners in the world. It has been made in the Middle East for thousands of years and even has its own names: dibs in Arabic, silan in Hebrew. Ours comes from the United Arab Emirates, one of the world's big date-growing countries. The recipe is as simple as it is ancient: the dates are soaked or simmered in water to release their juice, then pressed and filtered, and that juice is slowly concentrated into a thick, dark syrup that tastes of caramel. Unrefined, and nothing else.
